Tim Hames

I studied pharmacy at Portmouth and did my pre-reg year with Lloyds in Solihull, qualifying in 1987. I then spent 11 years with Lloyds as a branch and district manager in South Wales, Hampshire and Hertfordshire. My next move was to work part-time at the NPA in the Information & Training departments as well as locum work and part-time house-husband.

In 2001 we moved to Staffordshire and I became superintendent pharmacist and full time manager of Balance Street Pharmacy in Uttoxeter.  Our pharmacy is located in the same building as a local GP practice and we work very closely with the GPs, other healthcare providers and the social service sector.

On a personal note, I am married with three children and I am still keen sportsman despite a cycling accident in 2011 that has left me paraplegic and in a wheelchair.
