Chair – Stephen Bullock
I joined the LPC a few years ago largely because I have an unshakeable view that pharmacists’ skills can and should be better utilised within the NHS.
Qualifying in 1980 from Nottingham University I worked initially for the Co-Op in Cambridge, soon afterwards moving to the Midlands to work for a small private company in that thriving metropolis, Brownhills. I have been at Whittington near Lichfield since 1990 which I own, along with my wife, Gill.
I became a supplementary prescriber in 2005 and in addition to community pharmacy, worked for several yeas as a practice pharmacist in various surgeries around Burntwood and Tamworth. I am an occasional contributor of nonsense to Prescriber magazine.
Hobbies include organic gardening, cycling, collecting (and riding) elderly motorcycles, amateur theatre, playing part time in a ceilidh band – and any other passing whim! To add variety and provide balance, I am valiantly trying to gain a language degree with the Open University. Married (to the aforementioned Gill), we have two grown up sons and three grandchildren.
