Do NOT issue any remaining Chlamydia Tests

Do NOT issue any remaining Chlamydia Tests

April 18, 2017

Since Staffordshire County Council awarded the sexual health service to SSFT the Chlamydia testing service “Be Clear” is being decommissioned.

It is some time since the pharmacy payments for Chlamydia testing ended, however our pharmacies had been encouraged by Be Clear to continue to issue tests to young people as a free service.

Several pharmacies still have the Be Clear test kits on display, however, we have now been informed that from April 1st 2017 samples sent in the pharmacy test kits will NOT be tested in the lab.

Please remove any remaining Chlamydia tests from your shelves.
