Keele Clinical Pharmacy Practice Modules – Funded opportunity!

Keele Clinical Pharmacy Practice Modules – Funded opportunity!

December 4, 2017

The LPN (Local Professional Network) and Keele University have secured funds from Health Education England (HEE) to support the professional development of local pharmacists.

All Pharmacists including locums will have the opportunity to study one or more 10 credit modules, through Keele University. The modules will ensure pharmacists are up to date with managing long term conditions.
Depending on demand more modules may be available for each pharmacist should they wish to complete more ie Accumulate 60 credits (e.g. 6 x 10 credits) to obtain the Clinical Pharmacy Practice Certificate award.

In order to qualify for this funding support, you must be working in a community pharmacy for a minimum of 2 days a week and be delivering patient-centred services e.g. the MUR/NMS services.
PLEASE NOTE The programme is delivered by distance learning, thus there is no requirement to attend Keele to undertake the learning or attain the credits. Please note the funding needs to be used in a short space of time and thus the expressions of interest will need to be completed and submitted by 7th January 2018 in order to enroll on the course by 7th February 2018 and start the course in March 2018; we will inform you when the enrollment forms for Keele university are ready for you to complete.

For more information and to review the selection of Clinical Pharmacy Practice modules available CLICK HERE.
This project is being led and coordinated by Tania Cork from North Staffordshire LPC so please contact me if you have any further questions.

Expressions of interest are now being collected via PharmOutcomes – look for “Keele Clinical Pharmacy Practice Module Learning EoI” on your Services tab. Don’t forget, applications will close on 7th January 2018.
