Missing Palliative Care Claims

Missing Palliative Care Claims

January 12, 2018

There are a number of pharmacies across Staffordshire who are signed up to the palliative care service  which are holding stock so that they can fulfil prescriptions for palliative care medicines.  Their details are on the LPC website, patient facing website and also shared with NHS111.

There is a small retainer paid annually to the pharmacies but this has to be claimed each year on the claim form.  We have been informed by NHSE that 14 pharmacies have not claimed the retainer for 2017-18 and that if these pharmacies complete the form and return it to NHS as soon as possible it can be paid this financial year.

The pharmacies are:

Asda Pharmacy Scotia Road Tunstall Stoke on Trent
Bradwell Pharmacy 111 Hanbridge Avenue Bradwell Newcastle under Lyme
Eason Pharmacy 215a Watling Street Wilnecote Tamworth
Eccleshall Pharmacy 8 High Street Eccleshall Stafford
Lloyds Pharmacy Sainsburys Supermarket Union Street Burton upon Trent
Lloyds Pharmacy Cobridge Health Centre Elder Road Cobridge
Packmoor Pharmacy 1 Samuel Street Packmoor Stoke on Trent
Tesco Instore Pharmacy Clough Street Hanley Stoke on Trent
Tesco Instore Pharmacy Tesco Superstore Brookside Road Uttoxeter
Well Pharmacy 7 Devon Court Bideford Way Cannock
Well Pharmacy Audley Health Centre Church Street Audley
Well Pharmacy 792 – 794 Uttoxeter Road Meir Stoke on Trent
Whitehouse Pharmacy Market Street Penkridge Stafford
W S Low 101 High Street Wolstanton Newcastle under Lyme

If you are on the list above you can find the claim form in the SLA, it is Appendix A in the document and needs to be sent either in paper form or scanned and sent electronically to Andy Pickard (full details on the form).  You can download a copy of the SLA from the LPC website

A new SLA is dueout in March 2018 for 2018-19 and the claims system will move to PharmOutcomes – more information will be sent to pharmacies in due course.
