Staffordshire CCG Medicines Optimisation team prescribing switches

Staffordshire CCG Medicines Optimisation team prescribing switches

May 15, 2019

Our LPC meeting on 8th May heard from Emma Bryant, Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist for the Staffordshire CCGs about proposed prescribing switches which are due to take place over the coming weeks. Although there a number of items on this list, note that these will be targeted so that each practice has switches which generate the most savings to their prescribing budget – so Emma will be asking local practice pharmacists in particular to contact their local pharmacies about what’s happening and when – ideally allowing plenty of notice for you to rationalise stocks.
