Chlamydia Testing

Chlamydia Testing – current contract ends 30.11.2016.  Arrangement will change

The council will not be continuing the current sexual health contract after 30.11.16

The LPC will speak to the Chlamydia team once the new Chlamydia Test contract from 1.12.16 has been awarded.  The council have advised us it will be up to the Chlamydia team to decide if they will incentivise pharmacies with payments but the council will no longer pay pharmacies for tests returned to the lab after 30.11.2016.

Chlamydia testing until 30.11.16

The payment for Chlamydia testing will continue as before, pharmacies are paid £10 for each Chlamydia test returned to the lab for testing which has their unique pharmacy code on it.   There is no claim form to submit for this as the Chlamydia service provide the LPC with the numbers of tests returned and which pharmacies require payment.

We would like to see all of our community pharmacies encouraging 16 to 24 year olds to have at least an annual Chlamydia test, and preferably one after each new partner.

If you require posters, help with staff training or further supplies of tests please contact

Check out the b-clear website, see if your pharmacy is listed as supplying Chlamydia tests and if you are missing from the list then do get in touch with them and ask them to add your details.
